Waldwick Mayor Sends New Year's Greetings

WALDWICK, N.J. – Mayor Tom Giordano shared his wishes for a happy and health new year to Waldwick residents in an address on the borough's website.

Here is his message:

 I want to wish you and your families the very best in the New Year. May 2016 bring all of you good health, happiness and prosperity.

As we begin 2016, I would like to take a moment to thank all the residents of this great borough for giving me the opportunity to serve another four years as your Mayor. I will do everything in my power as I have done before to serve you and Waldwick with dedication, pride and honor. I will never let you down. I am “Your Mayor”.

I would like to also congratulate Councilman Chuck Farricker for being re-elected to Town Council and welcome Joe Oravetz to his new role as Councilman, together with the help of Andy, Greg, Deb and Don we will continue to work hard for you in making Waldwick a place we will always be proud of.

I would like to thank Councilman Anthony Celeste for his 3 years of service on the Borough Council, thank you for all you have done for Waldwick and I wish you great success in your future endeavors.

I would like to welcome our new Chief Financial Officer Colleen Ennis to Waldwick and wish her much success in her new role.

To our New Borough Administrator Andrew Tatarenko good luck on your promotion and I look forward to working with you in making Waldwick even better then it is today.

As a governing body, we have continued to make substantial progress on important programs and policies that continue to save tax dollars, improve services, and strengthen our quality of life.

As always, our progress continues to be the result of a collective effort on the part of our elected officials, Borough employees, and many volunteers.

This year I would like to dedicate the 2016 calendar to our employees. I want all of you to know that you are appreciated day in and day out, each and every one of you help to make Waldwick the very best it can be. I can never thank you enough for all you do for our residents. You are the back bone of our borough and I will never forget it.

To all our residents thank you for being supportive of each other and for showing kindness, concern and friendship to each other when it is needed. Due to your efforts and love for your community, Waldwick will always be the community with the “Caring Heart”.

I still believe as I believed four years ago that our best days lie ahead. And I hope you will join with me in my journey in making Waldwick better than it is today and strong and powerful for our tomorrow.
